About me

I am a person-centred therapist who works creatively, drawing on the arts to support clients in exploring their inner world.

Before training as a therapist, I worked in education for 15 years, supporting the emotional well-being and learning needs of neurodivergent children. I have spent time alongside young people who experience the world in beautifully different ways, helping them navigate the often overwhelming demands of school. This work has deeply shaped my understanding of behaviour as communication, and my commitment to creating spaces where difference is not just accepted, but celebrated.

My practice is both trauma-informed and neuroaffirming, which means I work with care, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique nervous system and way of being in the world. I don’t pathologise difference. Instead, I aim to create a space that feels safe enough for you to show up just as you are. This might mean offering choice around how we work (including movement, creativity, silence, or structure), adapting sessions to your sensory needs, or simply holding space for the things that have felt too much elsewhere.

I believe that healing happens through connection and relationships, through being deeply heard, accepted, and seen. My approach is grounded in empathy and authenticity.

I aim to create a warm, inclusive space where clients can reconnect with themselves, process life’s challenges, and move toward greater self-trust and freedom. If that feels too much to begin with, I also offer a cuppa and a listening ear for those annoyances you cannot share with others.

Your pace, your voice, your safety, always. Kettle’s there if you would like a brew.

Walk and talk

Walk and talk

Walk-and-Talk therapy can be a creative alternative to the traditional therapy room. Moving through natural spaces can awaken important things.

For some, walking side by side feels safer than sitting face to face, allowing words and feelings to emerge more freely.

As with all my work, this is a person-centred space: led by you, shaped by what you need.

Being based in South Liverpool means I am lucky to have access to some beautiful green spaces for walking therapy: Calderstones Park, Sefton Park, Princes Park, Allerton Towers, Sudley Field, and Otterspool Promenade are all nearby and close to my therapy room.

I have found that walking side by side in nature can be a gentle but powerful way to connect and reflect. There is something about open space, surrounded by trees, birdsong or the river, that naturally supports our mental and emotional well-being. It is something many people find grounding and calming.

We have research that backs that up too:

A space where healing meets imagination, no matter where you are.

I offer virtual sessions that blend talk therapy with expressive tools like art, writing, and movement to help you explore emotions, gain insight, and foster personal growth. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, life transitions, or simply seeking deeper self-understanding, remote therapy provides a flexible, accessible way to connect and heal from the comfort of your own space.

Meeting you where you are…

My work has been enriched by personal experience within my own neurodivergent family, deepening my understanding of the daily realities faced by children and those who care for them. It has shaped my belief that with the right support and acceptance, everyone can thrive in their way. And we all deserve to.

I have also offered person-led tutoring sessions for those who may need a more flexible, compassionate approach to learning. These sessions are grounded in understanding, not pressure, led by the child’s interests, pace, and sensory needs. Whether we are building confidence, re-engaging with education, or simply creating a safe space to learn again, my aim is always to meet the person where they were at.

Sessions and fees

I offer a free thirty minute consultation so we can see how it would feel to work together.

During this time, you may want to ask questions or talk about what you are looking for. If you find it helpful, I can share some information about how I work, about counselling and psychotherapy in general, and the creative approaches I can offer.

Standard therapy sessions are 50 to 60 minutes in length and are priced at £50. For clients who prefer a more spacious format, I also offer extended walk-and-talk sessions of up to 90 minutes at a rate of £75. Payment can be made via bank transfer or cash.

If you decide to move forward after our consultation, we can arrange a regular time to meet that suits your schedule. Flexibility and consistency are both important parts of the therapeutic process, and I’m happy to discuss what kind of arrangement might best support your needs.
